Posted on October 8, 2008, 11:36 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
The official website of the ef - a tale of melodies television series is streaming the first episode in Japanese for free on Wednesday, and plans to do so for every episode for one day each. Like the first anime series ef - a tale of memories, ef - a tale of melodies is based on minori's ef - a fairy tale of the two adult romance game franchise. The streaming will begin after each episode's Japanese premiere on Wednesdays. The official website is not apparently restricting its streaming to Japanese Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, although the Animate.tv video website is providing a separate streaming service with digital rights management. The official website has also posted downloadable copies of the opening animation sequence in 640x480 resolution (13.4MB zip/wmv file) and 900x676 resolution (25.9MB zip/wmv file).Dragonball, Vegeta's Younger Brother?!

Spice and Wolf's 2nd TV Anime Season Confirmed
Posted on October 6, 2008, 12:06 am by Koby with 0 Comments.
The official Japanese website of the Spice and Wolf franchise has confirmed that a second television anime season has been green-lit. Director Takeo Takahashi and screenplay writer Naruhisa Arakawa will return for Spice and Wolf II. However, Toshimitsu Kobayashi (El Hazard: The Alternative World, Fate/stay night) will replace Kazuya Kuroda as the character designer and chief animation director. Likewise, the Brain's Base studio (MazinKaiser, The Boy Who Saw the Wind) will be animating instead of IMAGIN. The anime adapts Isuna Hasekura and Jū Ayakura's acclaimed novel series that avoids the usual sword-and-sorcery trappings of fantasy stories and focuses on how business (and religion) gets done in a medieval world — with a wolf girl. Jun Fukuyama and Ami Koshimizu will reprise their roles as the peddler Lawrence and the wolf girl Horo who embark on a journey together.Although a North American license for the anime has not been announced yet, Yen Press did acquire the original light novels for English translation.
Rosario + Vampire Capu2 Censored by Two TV Stations

Two Japanese television stations have censored scenes with undergarments in the first episode of the Rosario + Vampire Capu2 anime series this week, while at least two other stations have apparently left the episode intact. The TV Osaka and TV Aichi stations in central Japan censored the scenes, but not another central Japanese station, Mie TV, and Tokyo MX TV. TV Osaka and TV Aichi had also censored scenes in the first Rosario + Vampire anime series. Both anime series adapt Akihisa Ikeda's school comedy manga about a human boy who secretly attends a school for supernatural creatures. Here is a comparison: Image

The official announcement will be made during tonight's final run, with an "important message" during the 10:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET/PT timeslot. The Toonami Jetstream online streaming service will reportedly still continue, and Cartoon Network is working to import the Japanese-animated Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z spinoff that is based on its own Powerpuff Girls series. Two episode of Naruto are currently scheduled for tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The 2002 live-action Spider-Man film will run instead of Toonami on September 27, although most television listings have not been updated yet. Iwakaze Capital's Takeover of Gonzo Parent Proceeds
Posted on September 18, 2008, 2:06 pm by Koby with 0 Comments.
Japanese investment company Iwakaze Capital KK finalized its bid to become the majority owner of GDH, the parent company of the Gonzo anime production studio. Last week, Iwakaze made a significant investment in GDH by buying 1.9 billion yen (about US$18 million) in newly-issued shares. It is also increasing its stake in GDH to a controlling interest by paying 8,000 yen (US$74.65) per share to purchase 13,189 shares, or 15% of the current outstanding total. The acquisition is expected to be complete by October 10.For the most recent financial year ending in March 2008, GDH posted an operating loss of US$32.6 million, and Iwakaze's takeover will effectively force out three of GDH's top corporate leaders. Shinichiro Ishikawa, the chief executive officer who has held the position since 2001 and was the executive producer of numerous Gonzo anime, will leave the company on October 1. Also leaving are director/chief financial officer Fumiaki Goto and executive vice president/chief operating officer Yasushi Uchida. No details are available yet on who will replace them, or on how this will affect Gonzo's current projects, such as S.A, Strike Witches, Rosario + Vampire Capu2, Linebarrels of Iron, The Tower of Druaga: the sword of Uruk, Afro Samurai: Resurrection, and Slap Up Party -Arad Senki-.

Dragon Ball Z Season 6 and More!
Posted on September 9, 2008, 11:49 am by Koga with 0 Comments.
Dragon Ball Z Season 6 is just around the corner..in fact, it will be out on DVD next Tuesday. This box set will have all of the Cell Games Saga so this Season is 29 episodes long. The next DBZ movie set is also coming out next Tuesday. This set will have Movie 3: Tree Of Might and Movie 4: Lord Slug. The set will be coming out on both DVD and Blu Ray. I plan on picking up the Blu Ray version. The movie sets are also remastered like the Season sets. According to the Best Buy website, Season 7 along with the next moviet set (Movie 5: Cooler's Revenge and Movie 6: Return Of Cooler) is set to be released on November 11th. The movie set of course will also be out on DVD and Blu Ray. Season 7 will feature the Great Saiyaman And World Tournament Sagas. Sorry, looks like Babadi is going to be in Season 8. Maybe that's why there's only a 2 month gap. The release date of Season 8 is unknown but I'd say sometime at the beginning of next year.
